Project: Life on Mars
Comic Creative Writing
Dear Astronauts,
As you already know, the first space shuttle sent to Mars has disappeared. You must find your colleagues and bring them back home safely.
This is a very dangerous mission and many things can go wrong. This is the reason why we encourage you to participate in this problem solving training programme the NASA has specially designed for this occasion.
Space has no mercy for those who cannot think quickly!
In space you could find yourselves lacking the oxygen needed for your brain to think clearly. NASA scientists have recently proven that in stressful situations our brain remembers pictures better than words.
To complete this Mars rescue training it is your duty to imagine a situation in which something has gone wrong during the mission to Mars and the way you are going to overcome disaster. Sequence the story into pictures and write short dialogues or introductory notes, just like in a comic.
Out there, we do not know WHAT may happen or WHO or WHAT THING we may come across, so let your minds run wild and be creative!
