Speaking PROJECT
TASK: You have to send a recording of yourselves following these instructions:
Step 1: Think & Choose
Make a short introduction about quarantine and what has happened (use the passive)
Explain how it has been for you staying so many days at home
Include a dream or a wish of yours.. If I could... I would.... (second conditional)
Speak about something that you would have done in another way (third conditional)

Project: Medieval Cooking Channel
As part of the school Project The Medieval Ages your group has to create a
Medieval Cooking Channel.
Before you start, please read all the steps. Remember not to skip any of the steps in the project. After you have completed a step, the teacher has to correct your work and allow your group on to the next.
If you follow the instructions carefully I'm sure your work will shine... like a star in the sky!! :-)
Step 1: Think, Research & Organise - Deadline xx of November
I. Think:

What kind of food did people eat in the Middle Ages? How was this food different to ours? (state at least 3 differences)
II. Research:

Where do you think you can find information on people's eating habits in the Middle Ages? Have you found anything interesting? Write it down.

Are you going to choose a European recipe or a recipe from elsewhere? Why?

From what country is the recipe you have chosen and why?
II. Organise:

Write down the ingredients of the recipe. Are they easy/difficult to find?

Have a look at the recipe's directions. Do you think you can follow all the steps?

Where are you going to cook the recipe and record the video? Does this place have everything you need (oven, cooker, pans, pots...)?

Who is in charge of buying all the ingredients?

How are you going to record the video?

Who is in charge of recording the video?

Who is in charge of editing the video?
-
What editing programme do you intend to use?
Step 2: Write & Record
I. Write: - Deadline: 14 th of November

Write a script taking into account the previous steps. Before you record the video and the teacher has to correct it.

The script MUST include:

Name of the dish

Ingredients

Preparation time

Who says what: the dialogues that will appear on the video

1-Identify and describe, attending to kinetic theory, the different changes in state.
2-When mixing the ingredients, describe which substance is the solute ( the one which is in less proportion).
3-When something is boiling, describe how temperature would have made preassure increase in a nowadays preassure cooker.

Once everything is organized it's time to record your video. Practice the dialogues before.

Step 3: Show & Shine - 2nd of December - onwards
All the work is done... You must feel very proud! Check with your teacher when it's your turn to show your maravellous video to the rest of the group.
